What’s Gouache?? Gouache is an opaque watercolor medium that’s fast drying and a ton of fun to use.

In this one-day workshop, you will be painting two small fun paintings using gouache. Nanci will walk you through a limited color palette, paint a demo landscape, and explain her paint process along the way.

Following the demo each artist will paint a simple landscape. We will follow that up with a “house portrait” painting.

All supplies will be provided by The Art Factory, BUT, please bring two photos. One photo should be of a house that you love. The second should be a simple landscape you love - make sure there is some variation in color and design. A photo of a landscape that is all green can be difficult to paint. You can use a digital image on your iPad or laptop (make sure it has a way to stand upright) or a printed photo. Your choice!
